Workflow directory

The Workflow Directory holds workflows that have already been written. When you install one, the full document is copied into your workspace. From then on it's your workflow. You can read and change any of it, and nothing runs until you choose to run it.

Browse the directory

Go to Workflows and click Browse the directory in the left rail.

  • Search by title, description, or author with the Search box.
  • Filter by category with the chips above the list.

Each card shows:

  • the number of sections and the author
  • a badge on listings published by BetterClaw
  • asks a person if a section stops for approval
  • the tools you'll need to connect, or nothing to connect
  • Installed if it's already in your workspace

Install a workflow

  1. Click a card to open its details.
  2. Under Which agent should run it, choose an agent. The workflow uses that agent's tools, files, and memory. You can move it to another agent later.
  3. Check What it needs:
    • each connector, marked connected or you'll need to connect this
    • each secret, marked you have it or you'll need to add this
    • scripts that come with it
    • whether a section asks a person before anything sends
    • anything the workflow remembers between runs (this starts empty)
  4. Click Install.

Once it's installed, click Set it up to open the workflow. It arrives as a draft: nothing is scheduled and nothing has run. You can install now and connect missing tools afterward.

After installing

  1. Open the workflow and read it through. Change any wording you like. See Edit sections.
  2. Connect any missing tools and add any missing secrets. See Choose accounts and secrets.
  3. Fill in its inputs, if it has any.
  4. Click Run now to try it.
  5. Set a schedule and Publish to turn it on. See Run and schedule.
Some directory workflows are also offered under Popular workflows on the New workflow screen. Installing from there works the same way and opens the new workflow straight away.

Making your own copy

To try changes without touching a workflow that's already running, open the ⋯ menu on its row in the Workflows list and choose Duplicate. The copy stays off until you publish it.

Publishing to the directory

Only BetterClaw platform admins can add workflows to the directory and manage its listings.

For admins, a published workflow shows a Share to directory button in its top bar. The sheet asks for:

  • Title (required)
  • What it does: a one-sentence summary (required)
  • Category
  • up to 10 Tags
  • an option to offer it on the New workflow screen

The listing includes the published document and its scripts. Credentials are never shared. Every workspace can install the listing right away, and it appears on the public site within a minute.

To publish a new version, click Share to directory again and choose Update listing. To remove the listing, choose Withdraw. Copies people have already installed aren't affected.

From any listing's details, admins can also Feature or Unfeature it on the New workflow screen, or Withdraw it. The directory page has Export and Import buttons for moving the whole directory between deployments as a JSON file.
