Check prices

Looks up each ticker on your watchlist on a finance site such as Yahoo Finance or Google Finance: the last close, the change over the last trading day, any pre-market price and the next earnings date. Tickers it can't find are flagged, not guessed.

Find out why

For every stock that moved more than your threshold, it finds the reason, such as news, an earnings report, a filing, an analyst call or the whole sector moving, with a link. If there's no clear reason, it says so. It also picks up big news on the topics you care about.

Market Watchlist Brief: common questions

Is this financial advice?

No. It's information only: prices, the news behind big moves and upcoming earnings. It never trades and never tells you what to buy or sell.

Which moves does it explain?

Moves bigger than the percentage you set get the news behind them. Smaller moves get one line.

Where does the data come from?

Public finance sites such as Yahoo Finance or Google Finance, and news it can link to.

Is there an n8n template for this?

You don't need one. This workflow is already built: connect your apps and it runs, with nothing to wire up or host.

Which apps do I need to connect?

Gmail. You connect it once, in a click, when you set the workflow up.

What can I change?

Your watchlist, Explain moves bigger than, What you care about. Only your watchlist is required; the rest have sensible defaults.

Can I change the schedule or the steps?

Yes. Installing copies the whole workflow into your workspace as a draft, and from then on it's yours: reword any step, change the settings, and pick the schedule and time zone (it suggests weekdays, 12 pm). Nothing runs until you run it or publish it.

Which AI model runs it?

The agent you choose when you install it. The workflow uses that agent's model, tools and memory, and you can move it to another agent later.
