About BetterClaw

We got tired of maintaining our own agents, so we built the version we wanted to use.

BetterClaw is a managed AI agent platform built by BitQit Private Limited.

We are a small software company based in New Delhi, India. We build BetterClaw so that running an autonomous agent does not require running a server.

1. Why We Built It

BetterClaw started because we were running autonomous agents for our own work and spending more time keeping them alive than getting value out of them.

The pattern was always the same. Set up a VPS. Install the framework. Write the YAML. Get it working. Then come back a week later to a container that had died, a rotated API key nobody updated, and a cron job that had silently stopped firing. The agent was never the hard part. The infrastructure around it was.

So we built the version we wanted: a real autonomous agent on managed infrastructure, with the setup removed and the maintenance removed, but without hiding what it costs or what it can do.

We think self-hosting is a completely reasonable choice, and we say so on our comparison pages. It is just not the only reasonable choice, and the trade-off is time rather than money.

2. Who We Are

BetterClaw is built by BitQit Private Limited, a software company registered and based in New Delhi, India.

We are not a large company and we do not pretend to be. You will often be talking to someone who wrote the code.

We also build Headshot Photo, an AI headshot generator, and Sparq, a search and filtering app for ecommerce stores.

Our registered address is:

BitQit Private Limited
475 - 476, Vegas Towers
Sector 14, Dwarka
New Delhi - 110078

3. The Team

We are organised into three groups - Tech, Marketing, and Support. There is no layer between them and you: the same people build the platform, write the documentation, and answer the support email.

4. How We Think About Pricing

Three things we decided early and have not changed:

  • The free plan does not ask for a card. Not at signup, not later. There is no countdown and no automatic conversion. It is a smaller plan than Pro, not a crippled one, and it stays free for as long as you want it.
  • We do not mark up inference. BYOK means you bring your own API key and pay your provider directly, at their price. We make money on the platform, not on a margin over your token spend.
  • We publish the limits. 1 agent, 500 credits a month, 3 connectors, and 7-day memory retention on the free plan. Those numbers are on the pricing page and the free plan page because finding out after you have built something is a bad experience, and we have been on the receiving end of it.

5. How We Work

We use BetterClaw to run BetterClaw. Our own SEO reporting runs as a scheduled agent that reads Search Console every weekday morning and posts its findings to Slack. It has been confidently wrong before, and we changed how we prompt it as a result.

That is roughly how we operate generally. We publish what worked, what did not, and the numbers behind both - in the changelog and on the blog.

Because BetterClaw holds API keys, OAuth tokens, and connected accounts, we treat security as part of the product rather than a page at the end of it. How we store secrets and what we purge is documented on our security page.

6. Talk to Us

The fastest route for anything broken is email. Everything else is welcome anywhere:

We typically respond within 24 hours on business days. If you want to argue with something we have written, that is also welcome - a fair amount of our documentation exists because someone told us we were wrong.
