Google Search Console AI Agent: Weekly SEO Fixes From Your Own Data
A BetterClaw agent connected to Google Search Console reads your search data every week and tells you what to fix. It finds pages that get impressions but not clicks, explains why, suggests better titles and descriptions, and checks whether last week's changes worked. It can also inspect URLs, check sitemaps and find questions you almost rank for. We built these workflows to run BetterClaw's own SEO.

What can an AI agent do in Google Search Console?
Here are the jobs teams hand to a BetterClaw agent in Google Search Console. The names under each one are the Google Search Console actions the agent uses, so you can see exactly what it touches.
Fix low click-through pages
Find pages whose CTR is well below what their position should earn and suggest new titles and meta descriptions.
Catch ranking drops early
Flag pages that lost 30% of clicks or three positions week on week.
Write for searches you almost win
Pick a query where you rank on page two and draft a better article in a Google Doc.
Check indexing
Inspect important URLs and report anything not indexed and why.
Watch sitemaps
List submitted sitemaps and alert on errors, or submit a new one after a release.
Report across sites
For agencies, run the same weekly report for every property you manage.
Example: SEO Click-Through Monitor (ready-made workflow)
Runs: Every Monday at 9 am.A Monday email with the pages to fix first and whether last week's fixes worked.
- 1Pulls the last 28 days of Search Console data against the 28 before and flags pages with plenty of impressions but low CTR for their position, plus pages that lost 30% of clicks or three positions.
- 2Opens each flagged page and works out why: a title that doesn't match the search, the wrong question answered, another of your pages competing, or a ranking drop. Suggests a new title, meta description and up to three changes.
- 3Checks the pages it made suggestions for last time and how their numbers moved.
- 4Emails you the report, ranked by missed clicks.
- 5Remembers this week's suggestions for next time, for up to 8 weeks.
How to set it up
Install it from the Click-Through Monitor workflow page and connect Gmail and Google Search Console. For new content, add the SEO Article Writer, which drafts the article in Google Docs and never publishes.
How to connect Google Search Console to an AI agent
About two minutes, with no code and nothing to host.
- 1
In BetterClaw, open Connectors in the left rail and stay on Browse connectors.
BetterClaw - 2
Search for "Google Search Console" and select it to open the connect window.
BetterClaw 3
Choose Sign in with Google, using the Google account that has access to your Search Console property, and approve access.
There's no key to copy.
Google Search Console- 4
Give the account a label you'll recognise later (for example "Google Search Console - work").
This matters if you connect more than one account.
BetterClaw - 5
Select Connect.
The account is assigned to all your agents automatically, so it works straight away.
BetterClaw - 6
To limit it, open the Google Search Console connector's detail view.
Each agent has its own row, so you can switch the account on only for the agents that need it.
BetterClaw - 7
In the workflow's setup, type your property exactly as Search Console shows it, for example https://www.example.com/ or sc-domain:example.com.

What can the agent access in Google Search Console? Is it safe?
The Google Search Console connector has nine actions: add, delete, get and list sites; get, list and submit sitemaps; inspect a URL; and run a search analytics query. The ready-made workflows only read data and email you. They never change your site, your sitemaps or your Search Console settings. Delete site is the one destructive action: leave it out of anything you build.
Your credentials are stored encrypted and your agents never see them. You can disconnect an account at any time from Connectors, and remove an agent's access without disconnecting the account.
How we keep your data safe →Google Search Console MCP server: do you need it?
Google doesn't publish an official Search Console MCP server. The ones you'll find are community projects that you run yourself with your own Google Cloud credentials. In BetterClaw, the Search Console connector gives an agent the same data with one Google sign-in. If you already run a remote MCP server for Search Console over https, you can add it under Connectors → Add MCP server.

Google Search Console AI agent: common questions
Can an AI agent analyse my Search Console data?
Yes. Once connected, a BetterClaw agent can query clicks, impressions, CTR and position by page and query, inspect URLs and check sitemaps, then explain what to fix in plain English.
Is there an official Google Search Console MCP server?
No. Google hasn't released one. Community servers exist, but you run them yourself. BetterClaw's connector needs only a Google sign-in.
Will the agent change my website?
No. The ready-made workflows read Search Console and email you suggestions. You decide what to change.
Does it work for several sites?
Yes. Any property your Google account can see. Run one workflow per property, or ask the agent to report across all of them.
How much data does it use?
The Click-Through Monitor compares the last 28 days with the 28 before, the same comparison you'd make by hand in Search Console.
Connect Google Search Console and give your agent its first job.
